Meet Junko, Our February Employee Spotlight

February’s Employee Spotlight features Junko, MATHESON’s E-Commerce and Data Analyst Manager extraordinaire. Junko started her career with MATHESON over 13 years ago and has grown professionally within the company working cross-functionally throughout the organization. In her current position, Junko manages the data that is transferred on our e-commerce platform. Her detailed-oriented ability to research and analyze information is essential and has been instrumental in launching this project.
What you do for yourself dies with you when you leave this world, what you do for others lives on forever.
Junko
Junko is very driven at work and she has a very active personal life giving back to her community. She is a member of the Buy Nothing Project, an organization that focuses on building community by connecting people through hyperlocal gifting, and reducing the impact on the environment. She also volunteers her time with many charitable organizations including the Red Cross and UNICEF. Junko lives by a quote from Albert Pike that says: “What you do for yourself dies with you when you leave this world, what you do for others lives on forever.”
When Junko isn’t working or volunteering she enjoys putting her Fine Arts Undergrad degree to use. She is a very talented artist specializing in realistic pencil and colored pencil portraits. She also uses her hands to create furniture and bamboo portrait frames from scratch.

Meet Soo Jin, Our January Employee Spotlight

MATHESON’S January Employee spotlight is Soo Jin, our very tenacious and personable Senior Corporate Recruiter. Soo Jin has been with MATHESON’s subsidiary, Continental Carbonic Products, Inc., for the last five years. In her role as a recruiter, Soo Jin prides herself on finding the right person for the position, and she takes her role very seriously. “It’s not just finding a job; it’s something someone might do for the rest of their lives, so I definitely want to ensure I’m helping to guide them to the best of my ability.”

Soo Jin’s passion and empathy for helping people at work carries over into the community where she lives. Over the years, Soo Jin has been involved as an ambassador for economic development and growth in the local Chamber of Commerce. She also fosters dogs in her home working to find them the right permanent home. As a result of her dedication to the community Soo Jin has been recognized as a member of “20 under 40”; an award showcasing leaders under the age of 40.
Soo Jin lives by her mantra, “There’s no such thing as luck. Luck is when preparation and opportunity collide,” and her hard-work and can-do attitude have contributed to her many successes.
